Seal® Tie the Knot has been granted international design patents.

We are happy to announce that “Seal® Tie the Knot” has been granted international design patents.

"The moment I learned that JnJ Ethicon was on backorder with their vintage knotting boards I immediately went to work.

I challenged myself to figure out a minimalistic and durable design unlike whats out there today, all while maintaining the functionality that is expected in the standardised international courses in basic surgical skills.

And voila! About a month later, after rapid prototyping and testing with our partners in medical education I came up with this unique design and put it into production for immediate distribution.

I was happy to see that not only JNJ in Scandinavia, (who may be a bit of design geeks I guess) embraced the model, but it was a home run also in prestigious simulation labs, and at clinical skills training centres where any fooling around with sophisticated simulators requires nothing but excellence in the hands on skills of surgical knot tying."
